This report is the seventh edition of the study of the lead concentrate market in Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries.
Market monitoring has been conducted since 1992.
The objective of the study is to analyze the lead concentrate market in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
The objects of the study are lead concentrate.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); railway transportation statistics; the SBIS database; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; Industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of companies producing and consuming the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.
Research timeframe: 2013-2025; forecast – to 2030.
Research geography: Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan – comprehensive market analysis.
The report consists of 6 chapters and contains 46 pages, including 13 figures, 13 tables, and 1 appendix.
Chapter one provides information on the lead mineral resource base in the CIS countries, presenting the reserve structure and characteristics of the main deposits.
Chapter two is devoted to the production of lead concentrate by companies in Russia and other CIS countries. This section presents data on lead concentrate production volumes from 2013-2025 in Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The third chapter describes the current status of the main producers of lead in lead concentrate in Russia and the CIS countries.
The fourth chapter of the report presents data on foreign trade operations involving lead concentrate in Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. It provides export and import volumes (2013-2025), supply geography, and information on the main suppliers.
The fifth chapter is devoted to the use of lead concentrates for the production of metallic lead in Russia and other CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan) from 2013-2025. It describes the main producers of primary lead in the CIS.
The sixth and final chapter presents a forecast for lead concentrate production in Russia and the CIS countries to 2030 based on an analysis of new deposit development projects.
The appendix provides address and contact information for the main companies producing and consuming lead concentrates in Russia/CIS.
The target audience for this study is:
- lead market participants – producers, consumers, and traders;
- potential investors.
This study is intended to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the non-ferrous metals market.
