This review is a study of the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) market in the Russian Federation, the CIS, Europe and Asia.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the PET market in the Russian Federation, the CIS, European and Asian countries.
The object of study is polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
The work presented is a desk research. Data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus) were used as sources of information; UN international databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); Unified information system in the field of procurement; railway transport statistics; VLSI databases; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; Infomine database, etc.
Chronological scope of the study: 2015-2021; forecast – 2022-2035
Geography of the study: CIS countries - comprehensive detailed market analysis, European and Asian countries - brief retrospective analysis.
Distinctive features of this study are:
- availability of a brief description of the markets for raw materials for the production of PET - terephthalic acid (TPA) and monoethylene glycol (MEG) - in the CIS, European and Asian countries;
- analysis of markets by type of PET (bottle, film, textile, sheet);
- analysis of factors influencing the development of the PET market in the studied regions;
- scenario forecasts of production and consumption, as well as prices for the period up to 2035 for each region;
- a brief overview of the market for the main PET substitute products (polymers of ethylene, propylene, polyamide, etc.).
The review consists of 4 chapters and contains 185 pages, including 87 tables and 57 figures.
The first chapter provides information on the markets for raw materials for the production of PET: the main indicators of the TPA and MEG markets in Russia, the CIS, European and Asian countries in 2015-2021 are presented. and forecast for the period up to 2035.
The second chapter is devoted to a description of the current state and prospects for the development of PET markets (by type) in Russia, the CIS, European and Asian countries in 2015-2021. and forecast for the period up to 2035. Data on available capacities, dynamics of production and consumption of each type of PET, as well as foreign trade operations and prices are presented and analyzed. In addition, brief characteristics of the largest manufacturers of the products in question, scenario forecasts for market development, and much more are given.
The third chapter lists and analyzes the main factors influencing the development of the market under study, including: PEST analysis, SWOT analysis, barriers to entry into the industry, etc.
The fourth chapter presents a brief analysis of the market for the main PET substitute products (polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, etc.).
Target audience of the study:
- polymer market participants (in particular, PET) – manufacturers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study purports to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists working in the polymer market.
