This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.
This report is the tenth edition of the study of the steel grinding balls market in Russia and the EAEU.
Market monitoring has been carried out since 1999.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the steel grinding balls market.
The object of the study is steel grinding media used for grinding in ball mills.
This review is the most complete among those presented on the information market on this topic, and claims to be a reference manual replacing Rosstat data, because not all enterprises producing grinding balls report on the volume of production of the products under study. In addition, the main partner of the Russian Federation in the trade of grinding balls is Kazakhstan, with which we are part of a single customs space (the transportation procedure is simplified, and there is no customs clearance as such). The data of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation on exports and imports between our countries do not coincide with the data of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Rail transport statistics also do not reflect the real situation, since there is delivery by road.
Using Rosstat data without additional thorough analysis can lead to erroneous management decisions being made by marketing services and specialists working in the market for this type of rental.
Currently, this is the only work on CIS grinding balls on the market research market.
A distinctive feature of this report is the breadth of geographical and time frames - a detailed analysis of production and foreign economic transactions with grinding balls was carried out not only in Russia, but also in the CIS countries.
This work is a desk research. Data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), railway transportation statistics, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS RF), the State Committee of Statistics of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, the State Statistics Committee of the CIS, and the UNComtrade database were used as information sources, Infomine database. Data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, and Internet sites of manufacturers and consumers of steel grinding media were also involved. Due to the fact that in Russia, freight transportation by road is not subject to mandatory statistical recording, this report provides only data on transportation carried out by rail. In conclusion, certain questions were clarified during telephone interviews with participants in the Russian steel grinding balls market.
Chronological scope of the study: 1998-2023; forecast – until 2033
Geography of the study: Russian Federation – comprehensive detailed market analysis, Kazakhstan – general market analysis, other EAEU countries – brief description.
Scope of the study: the report consists of 7 parts, contains 268 pages, including 77 tables, 42 figures, 8 appendices.
The first chapter of the report provides an overview of the production technology and quality requirements for steel grinding balls produced in Russia.
The second chapter is devoted to an analysis of the production of steel grinding balls in Russia in 1998-2023. The section provides data on the volume of production of steel grinding balls in Russia during this period, traces the dynamics of product production, and gives the regional structure of production. The chapter also examines the current state of the main manufacturers of steel balls in the Russian Federation. Data is provided on production technology and the equipment used, the range and quality of products, production volumes, enterprise development plans, as well as detailed data on the volumes and directions of product supplies for 2002-2023.
This chapter also briefly examines the situation on the market for steel grinding balls in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
The third chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of Russia's foreign trade transactions with steel grinding balls in 1998-2023.
The fourth chapter examines the export-import supplies of steel grinding balls to other EAEU countries in 2005-2023.
The fifth chapter is devoted to the analysis of prices for steel grinding balls in Russia. This section shows the prices of the main manufacturers of products on the domestic market in 2005-2023. In addition, an analysis of export-import prices for the period 1999-2023 was carried out.
The sixth chapter examines the consumption of steel grinding balls in Russia in 1999-2023. This section shows the balance of production and consumption of these products. In addition, this chapter describes the main consuming industries (iron ore, mining of non-ferrous metal ores, gold mining, cement and energy), and provides characteristics of the largest consumers of steel grinding balls in Russia, plans for their development, as well as a detailed structure of supplies of steel grinding balls to these enterprises .
The final, seventh chapter of the report provides a forecast for the production and consumption of steel grinding balls in Russia until 2033.
The address book contains information about manufacturers of steel grinding balls (Appendix 1), as well as large Russian consumers in the iron ore industry, non-ferrous metallurgy, gold mining, cement, and energy industries (Appendix 2).
Appendices 3-8 contain information on railway supplies of grinding balls in 2007-2020. at mining and processing plants for the extraction of ferrous, non-ferrous metals and gold ores, mineral raw materials, at enterprises in the construction industry and energy.
Target audience of the study:
– participants in the steel grinding media market – manufacturers, consumers, traders;
– potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists making management decisions working in the grinding media market.
