This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the third edition of a study of the global polypropylene market and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

The objective of the study is to analyze the polypropylene market in Russia, the EAEU countries (which, in addition to Russia, include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan), and the global market for this product.

The object of the study is polypropylene, an organic compound, an unsaturated hydrocarbon from the alkene class with the chemical formula (C3H6)n.

This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Unified Information System in Procurement; rail transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; Industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of companies manufacturing and consuming the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.

Research timeframe: 2015–6 months of 2026; 2026 – assessment; forecast – 2027–2035.

Research geography: Russia – comprehensive, detailed market analysis; global and EAEU countries – general retrospective market analysis.

The report consists of 7 parts and contains 116 pages, including 35 figures, 36 tables, and 2 appendices.

The first chapter is devoted to the global polypropylene market. This section presents data on capacity, international trade in this product, sales prices, consumption, and the development prospects of the global polypropylene market.

The second chapter presents information on the technologies used in polypropylene production, production capacity in Russia, and the main raw materials used for its production.

The third chapter analyzes polypropylene production in Russia and other EAEU countries. It presents product quality requirements, traces production dynamics, and provides data on production volumes from 2015 to the first six months of 2026. It also provides an estimate of production in 2026 by enterprise, and describes the leading manufacturers and their current status.

The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade transactions with polypropylene in Russia and the EAEU countries from 2015 to 2025. It presents data on export and import volumes of the products under study, presents the geographic structure of supplies, and analyzes information on individual polypropylene exporters and importers.

Chapter five presents information on the price of polypropylene in the Russian domestic market and analyzes data on changes in export and import prices for the product from 2015 to 2025.

Chapter six is devoted to polypropylene consumption in Russia. This section presents the production and consumption balance of the product under study, presents its application structure in Russia, examines the main areas of polypropylene use, and describes the largest consumer companies.

The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast for polypropylene production and consumption in Russia through 2035.

The appendices provide contact information for Russian polypropylene producers, as well as the largest consumers of this product who process third-party products.

Target audience of the study:

– Polypropylene market participants and raw materials for this product;

– Potential investors.

This study is intended to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the chemical market.
