This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the eighth edition of the study of the manganese market: manganese ferroalloys (ferromanganese, silicomanganese) and metallic manganese, as well as raw materials for their production in Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the markets of manganese raw materials, ferromanganese, silicomanganese and metallic manganese in Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries.

The object of the study is manganese ores and concentrates, ferromanganese (blast furnace and electroferromanganese), silicomanganese, metallic manganese.

This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement; Railway Transportation Statistics; SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; InfoMine database, etc.

Chronological framework of the study: 2000-2024, forecast - 2025-2030.

Geography of the study: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis, other EAEU/CIS countries - brief market analysis.

The report consists of 4 sections, contains 149 pages, including 71 tables, 37 figures and 1 appendix.

The first section of the report provides characteristics of the manganese raw material base of the EAEU/CIS countries: Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Georgia, describes the main deposits and the degree of their development.

The second section of the report describes the current state of the manganese raw material market in the EAEU/CIS. It provides data on the volumes of manganese ore production in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Georgia, export and import of manganese raw materials, production-consumption balances of Mn raw materials in Russia in 2000-2024.

The third section of the report is devoted to the markets of ferromanganese, silicomanganese and metallic manganese.

Chapter 3.1 provides quality requirements for ferroalloys containing manganese in the CIS.

Chapter 3.2 describes the situation with the production of ferromanganese, silicomanganese and metallic manganese in the EAEU/CIS countries, including the dynamics of ferroalloy production, the current state of the main manufacturers, new production projects.

Chapter 3.3 provides data on the volume of foreign trade operations with ferromanganese, silicomanganese and metallic manganese in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other CIS countries, and analyzes Russian export-import prices for manganese alloys.

Chapter 3.4 examines the consumption of manganese ferroalloys in the CIS as a whole and, in more detail, in Russia in 2000-2024.

The fourth section of the report provides a forecast for the development of the manganese alloy market in Russia until 2030, taking into account the development trends of the Russian ferrous metallurgy.

The appendix provides contact information for manufacturers of manganese alloys in the CIS.

Target audience of the study:

- manganese market participants – producers, consumers, traders;

- potential investors.

The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing departments and specialists making management decisions working in the market of manganese-containing products: concentrates, ferroalloys.
