This report is the fifth edition of the study of the titanium-containing raw materials and titanium market in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. In addition, it provides brief information on the state of the world market for this industry segment.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the titanium raw materials and titanium market, as well as a forecast of its development for the period up to 2030.
The object of the study is titanium-containing concentrates (ilmenite, rutile, loparite), as well as titanium sponge and titanium dioxide (in terms of the use of titanium-containing raw materials).
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries, including Rosstat; international UN databases (UNdata); international and European trade data (TradeMap); Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (up to 2022); Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement; railway transportation statistics; SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of manufacturing companies and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), the InfoMine database, etc.
Chronological framework of the study: 2005-2024; forecast - up to 2030
Geography of the study: Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, the rest of the world - a general retrospective analysis of the markets.
The report consists of 8 parts, contains 121 pages, including 29 tables, 29 figures and 2 appendices.
The first chapter describes the main groups of titanium-containing ores, as well as the requirements for titanium-containing concentrates.
The second chapter describes the world market for titanium-containing concentrates (world production in 2005-2024, main countries and manufacturing companies), and describes current trends.
The third chapter is devoted to the study of the mineral resource base of titanium-containing raw materials in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The chapter provides data on reserves and describes key deposits: developed and potential.
The fourth chapter of the report examines the production volumes of titanium-containing concentrates in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine in 2007-2024. Mining companies in these countries are described, and projects for the development of new deposits are considered.
The fifth chapter is devoted to foreign trade operations with ilmenite and rutile concentrates in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine in 2005-2024. It presents information in the context of goods-country and goods-company-consumer (importer) in the Russian Federation. In addition, the section examines Ukrainian export deliveries of both ilmenite and rutile concentrates in 2007-2024, including the dynamics of deliveries by country.
The sixth chapter is devoted to the price situation of the titanium-containing raw materials market in Russia in 2007-2024. This section presents the dynamics of changes in export-import prices for ilmenite and rutile concentrates in recent years.
The seventh chapter provides an analysis of the consumption of titanium-containing concentrates in Russia in 2007-2024. The dynamics and structure of consumption of this type of raw materials in recent years are considered, the factors determining the demand for the studied products are analyzed, and the main consumer industries are considered. In addition, the production-consumption balance of titanium-containing concentrates in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan for 2007-2024 is presented, the main areas of use and consumer companies are described.
The eighth chapter considers the forecast for the production and consumption of titanium-containing concentrates in Russia until 2030.
The appendices provide contact information for the main enterprises-producers and consumers of titanium-containing concentrates in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan.
The target audience of the study:
– participants in the titanium-containing concentrates market and its further consumption chains (metallic titanium, titanium dioxide, welding electrodes);
– potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the titanium-containing products market.
