This review is the sixth edition of the study of the market for continuous basalt fiber (CBF) and reinforcing materials and products based on it.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for continuous basalt fiber and reinforcing materials and products from it in the CIS.
The object of research is continuous basalt fiber, as well as reinforcing materials and products based on it.
Chronological scope of the study: 2007-2022, forecast - for the period up to 2030.
Research geography: Russia - a comprehensive detailed analysis, other CIS countries and the world market - a brief description.
This work is primarily a desk study. As sources of information, data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (FSGS RF), railway traffic statistics of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation were used.
Also, data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, Internet sites of enterprises producing continuous basalt fiber and reinforcing products based on it were involved.
A distinctive feature of this work from other marketing studies presented on the Russian market is a wider time frame - the continuous basalt fiber market has been monitored by Infomine since 2007, as well as the geographical breadth of the study - the review presents an analysis of the BCF market not only in Russia, but also the CIS countries, a brief analysis of the world market is also given.
The report consists of 9 chapters, contains 181 pages, 72 tables, 23 figures and an Appendix.
The first chapter provides general information about continuous basalt fiber (CBF), the history of its creation and production technology, physical and chemical properties, areas of its application, comparison with the closest material to it - glass fiber. This chapter also describes the main technologies for processing continuous basalt fiber.
The second chapter provides brief data on the world CBF market and its development prospects.
The third chapter is devoted to the production of continuous basalt fiber in the CIS. It provides data on the volume and dynamics of CBF production, as well as information on the main manufacturers of continuous basalt fiber and materials based on it, with a description of the main types of products.
In the fourth chapter, a description of the market for products from CBF is given with a detailed description of its segments: basalt-plastic reinforcement and composite flexible bonds, basalt reinforcing mesh.
The fifth chapter provides additional information on dispersed reinforcement with basalt fiber. According to the experts of Infomine LLC, without this chapter, consideration of the market for reinforcing products and materials from CBF would not be complete.
The sixth chapter presents data on foreign economic transactions with materials and products based on continuous basalt fiber in Russia in 2007-2022.
The seventh chapter analyzes data on average export and import prices for CBF and materials based on it in 2007-2022. In addition, an analysis of prices in the domestic market of Russia for CBF-based reinforcing materials and similar products made of fiberglass is given.
The eighth chapter provides data on the dynamics of production and consumption of continuous basalt fiber in Russia in 2010-2022.
In the final, ninth chapter, a forecast is given for the development of the CBF market for the period up to 2030.
The Appendix contains contact information for manufacturers of continuous basalt fiber and reinforcing products based on it in the CIS.
Target audience of the study:
- participants in the market of continuous basalt fiber, reinforcing products and materials based on it - manufacturers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and management decision makers working in the basalt fiber market.
