This report is the first edition of a study of the market for complex NPK fertilizers in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The purpose of the study is to analyze the NPK fertilizer market in Russia, the EAEU countries (which, in addition to the Russian Federation, include the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic), as well as the world market.
The object of research are complex NPK, as well as NK fertilizers, the production of which is carried out by chemical decomposition of natural phosphates, as well as by the method of steam granulation.
At the same time, the study does not consider water-soluble NPK fertilizers (in particular, produced by EuroChem-BMU LLC), as well as products obtained by dry mixing (i.e. fertilizer mixtures), as well as in accordance with compaction technology.
This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan), the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, VLSI, websites of NPK fertilizer producers and consumers. The UN Comtrade and Trade Map data were also involved; Infomine database was used.
Chronological scope of the study: 2018-2022; forecast - 2023-2030
Research geography: countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, including the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia.
The report consists of 7 parts, contains 104 pages, including 28 figures, 43 tables and 2 appendices.
The first chapter is devoted to the global market of NPK fertilizers. The section provides data on capacities, international trade of the product category under consideration and its selling prices, consumption and prospects for the development of the global market for complex fertilizers.
The second chapter provides information on the technologies used in industry for the production of NPK fertilizers and the main types of raw materials for their production (natural gas and ammonia, apatite and phosphorite concentrates, potassium chloride).
The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of the production of NPK fertilizers. It presents the requirements for the quality of manufactured products, traces the dynamics of its production and provides data on production volumes in 2018-2022, describes the leading producers of three-component fertilizers in the EAEU and their current state.
The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with NPK fertilizers in Russia and the EAEU countries in the period 2018-2022. Data on the volumes of exports and imports of certain types (brands) of the products under study are presented, the geographical structure of supplies is presented, and information on individual exporters and importers of complex fertilizers is analyzed.
The fifth chapter provides information on the level of prices for NPK fertilizers in the domestic market of the Russian Federation, and also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for products in 2018-2022.
The sixth chapter is devoted to the consumption of NPK fertilizers in Russia and other EAEU countries. This section presents the production-consumption balance of the studied products, assesses the geographical structure of its supplies to the domestic market of the Russian Federation, presents the main suppliers and describes the distribution networks formed by them, through which fertilizers are sold to domestic buyers.
The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast for the consumption of NPK fertilizers in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030.
The appendices contain contact information on the main producers of NPK fertilizers in the EAEU countries, as well as the sales and distribution structures of the largest Russian companies selling this type of product.
Target audience of the study:
– participants in the market of NPK fertilizers and raw materials for the production of this type of product;
- Potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and management decision-makers working in the mineral fertilizer market.
