This report is the eighth edition of the study of the market of synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide (precipitated - white carbon black and pyrogenic - aerosil) in the Russian Federation and the EAEU countries.
Market monitoring has been conducted since 1999.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market of synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide - Russian and the EAEU countries.
A distinctive feature of this report is that it presents a detailed analysis of the white carbon and aerosil market, which helps to avoid the mistakes made by the authors of similar studies conducted by other companies.
According to the existing nomenclature of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, pyrogenic and precipitated silicon dioxide are present in position 281122, which has the general name "Silicon Dioxide", which also presents other products from this category (silica gel, microsilica, etc.). The report presents reliable data on the products that are the object of this study, obtained by manual sampling for the entire nomenclature position 281122.
The object of the study is synthetic silicon dioxide (precipitated and pyrogenic)
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from the statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international UN databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); the Unified Information System in the Sphere of Procurement; railway transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities; industry and regional press, conference materials, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of the studied products; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), FIPS patent database; InfoMine database, etc.
Research chronological framework: 1999-2024; forecast – 2025-2035.
Research geography: Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus – comprehensive, detailed market analysis
The report consists of 6 parts, contains 137 pages, including 17 figures, 35 tables and 3 appendices.
The first chapter of the report provides information on the production technologies of precipitated and pyrogenic silicon dioxide and the raw materials required for production.
The second chapter of the review is devoted to the analysis of the production of synthetic silicon dioxide in the EAEU. This chapter provides the requirements of existing regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of silicon dioxide, statistics on the production of this product in 1999-2024. The chapter contains descriptions of the current status of enterprises producing synthetic silica in the EAEU (current and those that have ceased production of this reagent). It also provides data on projects to create new production facilities for synthetic silicon dioxide.
The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade operations with silicon dioxide. It provides data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products, and assesses the regional structure of supplies.
The fourth chapter provides information on the current prices of silicon dioxide producers, and also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for products in Russia.
The fifth chapter of the report provides balances of production and consumption of silicon dioxide in Russia, assesses the sectoral structure of consumption of the studied products, analyzes the factors that determine the demand for silicon dioxide in the domestic market, and describes the main sectors of consumption and consumer enterprises.
The sixth chapter of the report provides a forecast for the development of the Russian synthetic silicon dioxide market for the period up to 2035.
The appendices provide retrospective statistical data for 1999-2021, address and contact information of the main enterprises producing and consuming synthetic silicon dioxide in the post-Soviet countries.
The target audience of the study:
- participants in the market of synthetic silicon dioxide and products based on it (tires, toothpastes, etc.) - manufacturers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing departments and specialists making management decisions working in the silicon dioxide market.
