This report is the third edition of the market research of scandium in the world and CIS countries.
Market monitoring has been ongoing since 2001.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for scandium and its compounds, both global and Russian, as well as the chains of its redistribution in the aerospace industry and the production of solid oxide fuel cells.
The objects of the study are scandium-bearing ores and technogenic deposits and production wastes, various scandium compounds (mainly oxide), metallic Sc and aluminoscandium ligatures and alloys.
This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from the Federal State Statistics Service, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, statistics were used by the US State Geological Survey (USGS), data from the UNdata database, the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, and Internet sites of scandium producers of its compounds .
Chronological framework of the study: 2001-2017; forecast - 2018-2028 gg.
Geography of the study: the world market is briefly reviewed, the market of the Russian Federation - in details.
The report consists of 9 parts, contains 98 pages, including 18 figures, 24 tables.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to the mineral resource base and the production of scandium and its compounds abroad. It provides information on world production, prices for scandium in the United States.
In the second chapter of the report the mineral and raw material base of scandium in the Russian Federation and CIS countries is considered. The chapter gives brief characteristics of balance deposits of scandium, as well as promising raw materials.
In the third chapter, foreign trade operations of the CIS countries with scandium and its compounds in 2001-2017 are analyzed. The data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products by countries, suppliers and recipients are given.
The fourth chapter is devoted to Russian export-import prices for scandium, its compounds and scandium ligatures.
The fifth chapter provides information on the production of scandium and scandium compounds in Russia in 2001-2017. The main producers are considered. GOSTs and specifications for manufactured scandium products are presented.
The sixth chapter is devoted to new projects for the extraction of scandium in Russia from ore and technogenic raw materials.
The seventh chapter analyzed the state of the main consuming industries: the aerospace industry and the production of solid oxide fuel cells.
In the eighth chapter, consumption of scandium in the CIS is estimated.
In the ninth chapter, the dynamics of the production of scandium in Russia up to 2028 is estimated.
The appendix contains contact information for the manufacturers of scandium and its compounds.
