This report is currently available in Russian language only. However, we can provide an English version of the report within 3 weeks after receiving a payment.

This report is the ninth edition of the study of the iron ore market in Russia.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the Russian iron ore market.

The objects of research are iron ore raw materials, including concentrate, iron ore pellets, etc.

This work is a desk research. Data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS RF), industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of iron ore products were used as information sources. UNdata data were also used, and the Infomine database was used.

Chronological scope of the study: 2000-2022; 2023 – estimate, 2024-2030 - forecast

Geography of the study: Russian Federation – detailed comprehensive market analysis.

The report consists of 9 parts, contains 305 pages, including 89 tables, 49 figures and an appendix.

The first chapter provides a brief description of the global market for iron ore raw materials.

The second chapter of the report provides basic concepts and requirements for iron ores.

The third chapter of the report is devoted to an analysis of the state of the iron ore raw material base of the Russian Federation. Information is presented on the distribution of iron ore reserves by region, as well as by the largest deposits.

The fourth chapter provides information on iron ore mining in Russia, including by region and individual enterprises.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the production of commercial iron ore in the country (by region and mining and processing enterprises). Data on the production of oxidized pellets and sinter at mining enterprises are presented separately.

The sixth chapter presents an analysis of the state of iron ore enterprises in Russia: volumes of ore mining and production of commercial iron ore, pellets, main markets, development prospects, etc. Data on the financial state of mining and processing enterprises is provided.

The seventh chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with iron ore raw materials and shows the main markets.

The eighth chapter gives the balance of production and consumption of iron ore raw materials in Russia. Information on the dynamics of production of cast iron and steel in the Russian Federation is presented, and iron ore supply patterns by region and to the main metallurgical plants are analyzed.

The ninth chapter of the report presents a forecast for the production and consumption of iron ore in Russia for the period until 2030, as well as the prospects for demand for iron ore raw materials in the Russian market.

The appendix provides the addresses and contact information of the main iron ore enterprises in Russia.

Target audience of the study:

– ferrous metals market participants;

– trading companies;

– potential investors.

The proposed study purports to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists working in the iron ore market.
